Robust aluminium clipper
The Kyone Ultima Iron Clipper (UC-IRON), as the name Iron suggests, has a fully aluminium body.
The aluminium body not only feels solid and robust, it exudes quality. As soon as you pick it up, you get the feeling that it is indestructible. The body is non-slip and provides a good ergonomic grip, and this clipper is also super quiet.
Powerful Lithium battery
Just like other Kyone clippers, this clipper also has a very powerful battery. The UC-IRON features the new Lithium Stage 3® battery. This, in combination with a very powerful High Performance Rotary motor, results in a very high cutting capacity, allowing it to cut through any type of hair effortlessly and smoothly. Even thick, full hair! (6500 RPM).
Hard Carbon adjustable cutting head
The new UC-IRON has a Hard Carbon steel cutting head with an Oil Sump and Ventholes (cooling fins). This significantly reduces the chance of wear and heat generation. Using the lever on the side of the machine, the cutting head can be adjusted in height from 0.5 to 3.5mm. A fade blade is also available as an option for a smooth transition and the perfect fade.
Features:
- Operating time: 300 min.
- Fully charged: 180 min.
- Lithium Ion / Lithium Stage 3 battery
- Hard Carbon Steel Blade cutting head adjustable from 0.5 – 3.5mm
- 6 Magnetic click guide combs (1.5 / 3 / 4.5 / 6 / 10 / 13mm.)
Hard Carbon Steel Blade
Oil Sump: These function as an oil reservoir and retain the oil longer, so the cutting head stays lubricated for longer. This also reduces friction and resistance, which can help prevent the blades from overheating. In short: more speed/RPM and more power.
Ventholes:The ventholes/cooling fins in the cutting head allow heat to dissipate more quickly. They also help remove accumulated dirt from between the cutting blades and the machine. Both aspects significantly extend the lifespan of both the clipper and the cutting head.
Please note, the same applies to these cutting heads: regular oiling and cleaning significantly extends their lifespan.
Switching the side lever / making it infinitely adjustable
Step 1: Loosen both screws counter-clockwise and remove the cutting blades. Leave the plastic part, including the spring, in place.
Step 2: Only tighten the right screw back in. This is to block the nut, so you can unscrew the screw from the side lever without it spinning freely.
Step 3: Remove the screw from the side lever by unscrewing it counter-clockwise and place it next to the machine.
Step 4: If you want to remove the click system to work infinitely, remove the part you see circled. Keep this safe!
Step 5: Replace the side lever and make sure you screw it back in with the correct tension. Test this by moving the side lever up and down. This varies from person to person, but make sure it is not too tight or too loose.
Step 6: You can now tighten the right screw clockwise again.
Step 7: Oil the cutting blades at the indicated points.
Step 8: Replace the cutting blades by tightening the screws clockwise. Do not tighten them completely yet, because you still need to check if the cutting blade is straight and how short it needs to be set. Set the blades short and straight, and then tighten the screws properly. Make sure the blades remain straight!
