What is Olaplex?
Olaplex is a tool that permanently repairs damaged hair and actually prevents damage thanks to a unique, patented ingredient. It consists of a 7-step system. The first 2 products are applied in the salon, as a standalone treatment or as an additive to hair dye or bleach. You can use the remaining products at home to care for your hair.
How does it work?
Two highly expert chemists, Dr. Eric Pressly and Dr. Craig Hawker, discovered a chemical compound consisting of only one ingredient and containing no silicones or oils: Bis-Aminopropyl Diglycol Dimaleate. This unique, patented ingredient forms the basis of the repairing properties.
Your hair consists partly of disulfide bonds. These are very strong bonds that determine the structure of your hair. Styling, blow-drying, and dyeing the hair damages it and breaks the disulfide bonds. These products repair those broken bonds in the hair and are therefore the ultimate solution to bring damaged, dry, and lifeless hair back to top condition.
The products are also ideal for preventing split ends, allowing your hair to grow longer, or achieving extra shine. They make the hair stronger than ever before!
